These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern all consultations, bookings and treatments provided by Ink Erase ("we", "us", "our"), a sole trader business operating from 3 Wellington Street, Ripley, Nottingham, DE5 3EH. By booking a consultation or treatment with us, you ("the client", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before booking.
Services Provided
We offer the following treatments, by appointment only:
- Laser Tattoo Removal using Q-Switch ND:YAG laser technology.
- Carbon Facial (Hollywood Peel) skin rejuvenation treatments.
All new clients are offered a free, no-obligation consultation prior to any paid treatment, during which your skin, tattoo and medical history will be assessed and a bespoke treatment plan discussed.
Eligibility, Age & Identification
- You must be 18 years of age or older to receive treatment. Proof of age (photo ID) may be requested at your consultation.
- Clients aged 16–17 may only be treated with prior written consent from a parent or legal guardian, provided at consultation, where the treatment is otherwise suitable and lawful.
- You confirm that all information you provide to us, including your medical history, is true, accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.
Consultation, Patch Test & Medical Disclosure
- A consultation (and, where clinically appropriate, a patch test) is required before your first treatment. We reserve the right to decline or delay treatment if we consider it unsafe or unsuitable.
- You must disclose, prior to treatment, any of the following: pregnancy or breastfeeding; history of keloid scarring; diabetes; epilepsy; active skin infections, cold sores, or open wounds in the treatment area; recent sun exposure or sunbed/fake tan use; use of photosensitising or blood-thinning medication (e.g. Roaccutane, Warfarin); autoimmune conditions; or any other medical condition that may affect treatment safety.
- Failure to disclose relevant medical information may result in treatment being refused, withdrawn, or postponed, and we accept no liability for complications arising from non-disclosure.
- We do not provide medical advice. Where a condition is disclosed that may affect treatment, you may be asked to obtain written clearance from your GP before we proceed.
Bookings, Deposits & Payment
- Consultations are free of charge and carry no obligation to book further treatment.
- A deposit may be requested to secure a treatment booking. Deposits are non-refundable except where Clause 5.4 applies, but are transferable to a rebooked appointment in line with Clause 5.
- Full payment is due on the day of treatment, before or immediately after the session, by the payment methods we accept at the time.
- Current prices are published on our website and are subject to change. The price confirmed at booking will be honoured for that appointment.
- Multi-session packages, where agreed, must be paid for and used in accordance with the schedule set out in your treatment plan; unused sessions are non-refundable once a package has been started, save as required by law.
Cancellations, Rescheduling & No-Shows
- You may cancel or reschedule any appointment free of charge by giving at least 24 hours' notice.
- Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 24 hours' notice, and failure to attend an appointment without notice ("no-show"), may result in forfeiture of your deposit and/or a cancellation fee, details of which will be confirmed at the time of booking.
- We reserve the right to cancel, postpone or reschedule an appointment due to practitioner illness, equipment failure, or other circumstances beyond our control. In such cases you will be offered the next available appointment and no fee will apply.
- If we reasonably consider, on the day, that treatment is unsafe (for example due to undisclosed contraindications, sunburn, or recent sun exposure), we may decline to treat you. Any deposit paid will be transferable to a rebooked appointment once the issue is resolved.
Treatment Outcomes & No Guarantee of Results
- Laser tattoo removal and skin rejuvenation are progressive treatments. The number of sessions required, and the final result, depend on factors including ink colour and depth, tattoo age, skin type, and individual healing response, and cannot be guaranteed.
- We will give you an honest, professional assessment of likely outcomes, but we do not guarantee complete removal of any tattoo or any specific cosmetic result.
- Photographs taken before, during and after treatment for progress-tracking and clinical records form part of your treatment file and are kept in accordance with Clause 9.
Risks & Side Effects
You acknowledge that laser tattoo removal and carbon facial treatments carry inherent risks, which have been explained to you at consultation, including but not limited to:
- Temporary redness, swelling, blistering, scabbing or bruising.
- Pinpoint bleeding or pain during and after treatment.
- Temporary or, rarely, permanent changes in skin pigmentation (lightening or darkening).
- Risk of infection if aftercare advice is not followed.
- Risk of scarring, particularly where aftercare advice is not followed or pre-existing skin conditions are present.
By proceeding with treatment, you confirm that these risks have been explained to you, that you have had the opportunity to ask questions, and that you consent to treatment on this basis. A separate written consent form will be signed prior to your first treatment.
Aftercare & Client Responsibilities
- You will be given verbal and written aftercare instructions following every treatment, which you must follow to minimise risk of complications and to support effective results.
- You must avoid sun exposure, sunbeds and fake tan on the treated area before and after treatment, as advised, and use appropriate sun protection (SPF 50+) on treated skin for the duration of your treatment course.
- You must contact us promptly if you experience any signs of infection, unexpected blistering, or any reaction causing concern following treatment.
- We are not responsible for complications arising from your failure to follow aftercare advice or from activities undertaken against our recommendations.
Photography, Privacy & Data Protection
- We process personal and medical information you provide (including consultation forms and clinical photographs) in accordance with UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), solely for the purposes of providing safe treatment, maintaining clinical records, and contacting you about your bookings.
- Before-and-after photographs will only be used for marketing purposes (including our website, social media and promotional material) with your separate, explicit, opt-in consent, which you may withdraw at any time by contacting us. Declining marketing consent does not affect your treatment.
- We retain client records for as long as is necessary for clinical and legal purposes, and will not share your personal data with third parties except where required to provide your treatment or by law.
- You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, subject to our legal obligations to retain clinical records. Requests can be made to ink-erase@hotmail.com.
Liability
- We carry professional treatment insurance and our practitioners are trained in the treatments offered.
- Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under English law.
- Subject to Clause 10.2, our liability for any claim arising from treatment is limited to the value of the treatment(s) in question, save in cases of our negligence or breach of statutory duty.
- We are not liable for outcomes affected by non-disclosure of medical information, failure to follow aftercare advice, or pre-existing skin/health conditions not reasonably identifiable at consultation.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of your consultation or treatment, please contact us as soon as possible at ink-erase@hotmail.com or +44 7477 595427 so that we can investigate and resolve the matter promptly and fairly.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in our services, pricing structure, or legal requirements. The version published on our website at the time of your booking will apply to that booking.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your treatment will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
